Telangitron

The Telangitron™offers a unique and preferable treatment procedure to eliminate skin lesions commonly called "broken capillaries" and "spider veins" of the face, neck and chest. The medical name for these unsightly blood vessels is telangiectasia. Telangiectasias are small, permanently enlarged capillaries, venules, small arterioles or small veins that lie in the upper dermis and are usually dull to bright red. Normally they are linear, but they may also be dot-like markings.

How does it work?

All treatments to remove telangiectasias attempt to block the flow of blood in the vessel. Blockage of the capillary is achieved by coagulating a small segment of the vessel. The blood is "clotted" at the treatment point. The clot blocks the flow of blood. Think of the coagulation treatment as constructing a barrier against the flow of blood in the vessel, much like a dam holds back a river. A river downstream of a dam dries up, as does the blood vessel.

How soon can I expect results?

We start each patient with a preliminary treatment usually lasting between 15-20 minutes. Two weeks is generally needed to observe your healing ability. After a two week period, the skin should appear normal and some of the lesions should be gone. With each treatment you should notice an improvement in the number of “broken capillaries”. You will be instructed on how to care for your skin and when to return for your next treatment after each treatment session.
